Welcome to The Version Museum Blog!

W hen this site re-launched earlier this month, we wanted to incorporate a blog into the mix. There's a lot that goes into documenting the history of all these websites, games, and more that doesn't fit neatly into the existing format of the site.

Speaking of the site... When this site first went live in 2014, it was hosted on the MediaWiki platform (the open source platform that runs Wikipedia). We realized its limitations rather early on and it was pretty frustrating to work with. We didn't love it. Here's what it used to look like:

Our new site is on a custom backend publishing platform and is far more fun to work with.
